Freedom - the valuable truth about my break up with a brand

Freedom – the valuable truth about my break up with a brand

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon when I decided to make the call.

“This isn’t working anymore. I’m leaving you”

This news wasn’t received happily and I had a lot of explaining to do.

“It’s not you or anything you’ve done”

“I can’t be with you anymore”

“It’s time to move on, but I’ll always treasure the memories we’ve made together, 10 years is a long time”

After a long hour of pleading and explaining, I was finally able to sever all ties, but this isn’t what you think. I wasn’t letting down a significant other. I was leaving my phone provider!

And what a task that was!

I’m not going to go into the reasons why I was leaving as this isn’t the point of the article. The point is that I was made to feel as though I was ending a long term relationship! I was passed to 3 different departments and had to dig my heels in for over an hour before they finally submitted and cancelled my contract (to which I thanked them and told them we would always have Paris… – true story)

Why are decisions about where I choose to spend my money, made so hard? Why can’t we live in a world where one can simply press a button and be done?

After my experience, I vowed that no customer of Ritch Digital should have to endure this, so we have sorted it that if you sign up to our social media content package and subsequently decide to cancel, you can do so by just sending an email.

One hassle free email. No begging over the phone, no wasted time, no hidden charges. Just. One. Email.

Incredibly refreshing, right?

So give us a try and let us write some content for you and when you feel like the time is right to take the reins yourself, we promise not to cling to your legs sobbing. We’ll take the grown up approach!
